Christmas Eve
HOW TO INVITE PEOPLE TO CHRISTMAS EVE
Christmas Eve is one of the easiest nights of the year to invite someone to. Make the invite easy to share and the details impossible to miss.
Updated
Christmas Eve is one of the nights people are most open to an invitation, even people who haven't been to church in years. Most of them won't find you through an ad. A friend will send them your post. Your job is to make that post easy to send.
Write it for the person who'll share it
Picture someone in your church scrolling on a Tuesday night, thinking about the neighbor they'd like to bring. Give them something they'd be glad to forward:
- The service times, plainly. "Christmas Eve · 4:00 and 6:00 PM." No graphic should make someone hunt for when to show up.
- What it's like. Candles, carols, about an hour, kids welcome. That one line answers the questions a guest is too shy to ask.
- Where to park and which door to use, in the caption.
When to post
- Three weeks out: the first invite, with times.
- The week before: the invite again, plus a story with a countdown or link sticker.
- The day of: a short "Doors open at 3:30, see you tonight" story.
Post the same invite more than once. Most of your followers won't see any single post, and nobody minds a second reminder about Christmas Eve.
Stories and posts both
Make a square or portrait post for the feed, and a story version for the days right before. Every invite in the library comes in all three sizes, and you can add your service times and church name in the editor before you download.
